OUR MISSION

Survivor Health & Healing
Offering health promotion and healing is central to the work of the Survivor Institute. Through health promotion, we engage in health education and awareness geared towards wellness and equipping the survivors with the requisite tools to support themselves. We also engage in healing by partnering with providers and treatment centers to provide clinical support for survivors. The health and healing program aims to engage survivors in preventative and intervention perspectives.

Voices Series
The Survivor Voices Series allows survivors to tell their stories in a way that best suits them – whether it is in a TED-style speech or in a conversation with a moderator. The Survivor Institute hosts in-person, keynote addresses each month, allowing the speakers to interact with the audience, answer questions, and pair with other presenters

Feature Series
The Survivor Stories are written narratives sharing the journeys of hope, healing, and triumph for those survivors who prefer to share their stories in writing.

Fellowship Program
The fellowship program is geared towards offering training and empowerment for survivors of violence from various walks of life. The fellowships are a year-long program conducted in different cohorts. Fellows are engaged in a rich curriculum that drives home the concepts of leadership, healing, empowerment, life entrepreneurship, etc. These skills are inculcated through training, coaching, partnerships with academic institutions, seminars, and practicum opportunities with various institutions and organizations.

Annual Conference
The annual conference is designed to bring together stakeholders, including survivors, practitioners, academics, journalists, legal professionals, health & social service providers, and any interested party. The conference offers a platform for survivors to be heard, policy ideas to be discussed, research findings to be shared, and networking and bridge-building across disciplines in the field.
